It’s my birthday weekend and each year I celebrate my good fortune by trying to send some money and direct some attention to a cause which matters. This year it’s Every Mother Counts. EMC was started by an amazing woman — and mom in her own right — Christy Turlington Burns. Christy is a Bay Area native and we met out here several years ago when she spoke at an event I was attending.
